The Bull Shark (Carcharhinus leucas) is a powerful and adaptable predator known for its stocky build and aggressive nature. Unlike most sharks, bull sharks can thrive in both saltwater and freshwater, often venturing far up rivers and into lakes. Found in warm, shallow waters worldwide, they have a varied diet and are one of the few shark species that can tolerate low salinity. Bull sharks are highly territorial and are responsible for a significant portion of nearshore shark encounters with humans.
