The Golden Trevally (Gnathanodon speciosus) is a large marine fish belonging to the family Carangidae. It is the sole species in the genus Gnathanodon. Widely distributed throughout tropical and subtropical regions of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, it inhabits inshore waters, including coral and rocky reefs, as well as sandy substrates. Juveniles are bright yellow with black bars, while adults exhibit a golden-silvery coloration. They can grow up to 120 cm in length and weigh up to 15 kg.
