The Hammerhead Shark is easily recognised by its unique, flattened head shape, known as a cephalofoil, which enhances its vision and ability to detect prey. Found in warm, tropical, and temperate waters worldwide, hammerheads are highly skilled hunters, feeding on a variety of marine life such as fish, squid, and crustaceans. Some species, like the great hammerhead, can grow quite large and are known to travel in schools, especially during the day.
