Icefish (Channidae) is a cold-water fish native to the Southern Ocean, found primarily in Antarctic waters. Known for its silvery, mackerel-like appearance, it thrives in deep, pelagic zones where temperatures are frigid. These fish are opportunistic feeders, consuming smaller fish and invertebrates. With an average length of 40–70 cm and a maximum weight of around 5 kg, the Icefish is adapted to survive in some of the harshest environments on Earth.
